More About Tahitian Shores

Tahitian Shores Boating Lifestyle

If you’re hoping for a boating lifestyle, it’s easy to find it at Tahitian Shores. This waterfront neighborhood sits in the Iona section of Fort Myers, and some of its homes sit right on canals or on the river with direct boating access to the Gulf.

For that reason, a majority of homes in Tahitian Shores make it easy to get out on the Caloosahatchee River and beyond. In particular, the location means living a short boat ride away from popular destinations such as Sanibel Island and Captiva Island.

In fact, many people do come to this part of Florida for a boating lifestyle, and Tahitian Shores certainly delivers. If waterfront access is a consideration, homes on the northern side of Bahia Court tend to be right on the river and have deeper water access.

There are three peninsulas within the neighborhood, all of which are separated by canals. It’s not uncommon to find homes in Tahitian Shores with a private boat dock and boat lift.

 Tahitian Shores Homes

There’s only one road into the neighborhood, so boating is oftentimes a big part of living here, but there are also several restaurants, shops, and other conveniences that are an easy drive away. This is a smaller community of single-family homes, as there are only 75 homes to choose from in the community.

Originally established beginning in the 1960s and 1970s, Tahitian Shores offers a mix of home designs today, as some of the homes are older, more established homes and others are newer, and relatively modern construction. This means that some homes of Tahitian Shores are original bungalows, but you can also find some riverfront estates that have been updated over the years.

You may find homes with private swimming pools, elevators, and other upgrades. In addition, it’s likely you could find homes with a large amount of living and entertaining space.
