Windsong Coming to Fort Myers

windsong fort myers A brand new community is coming to Fort Myers, with plans calling for a new 24-acre residential development just off Six Mile Cypress Parkway and I-75. Plans for the new Windsong community include construction of around 100 paired villas, within a gated environment. Also called carriage homes, the paired villas of Windsong will be priced in the $300,000 range, with the option of two different floor plans for prospective new owners to choose from. One home design offers around 1,600 square feet of living space, while the slightly larger floor plan offered within the community commands around 1,800 square feet of living space. Designed with British West Indies style influence, the paired villas are said to be constructed for buyers in search of an active lifestyle with plenty of amenity options easily within reach. Under development by Neal Communities, Windsong makes room for a community rec center, including a swimming pool and spa, a dog park and an outdoor grilling area. Found just across from the Six Mile Cypress Slough Preserve, the peaceful setting makes it easy to enjoy area wildlife, go for a nature walk or simply explore the natural beauty of the region. In addition, the community is also conveniently close to specialty stores and just minutes away from area beaches. Windsong is just one of several new developments from Neal Communities, with potentially more residential options coming in the near future. Neal also recently acquired the already master-planned Verandah community, with plans for completing the gated development along the Orange River. Plans for that development call for another 300 or so homes, mostly single-family options with the possibility of paired villas within that community, as well. Some point to the affordability of paired villas, along with the low maintenance fees often found with the residences of Neal Communities, now including the option of the new Windsong development.
