Where to Live in Fort Myers

If you’re having some trouble narrowing down where to live in Fort Myers, it’s likely because there are so many great options to consider. Riverside

For gracious homes dating back to the 1920s, 1940s, and even 1950s, you may want to consider the many offerings of Riverside. This established neighborhood sits in Old Fort Myers, between McGregor Boulevard and the Caloosahatchee River.

You’ll find some mid-century homes here, as well as some Mediterranean and Spanish influence in home designs. While one advantage is that the neighborhood sits close to the river, it’s also within walking distance of Fort Myers Country Club.

Iona

The Iona neighborhood of South Fort Myers sits right alongside the river, itself. In addition, the location is within minutes of Sanibel and Captiva Island beaches.

Botanica Lakes

Lake and preserve views are part of the appeal of Botanica Lakes. This gated community consists of more than 500 single-family homes in the Daniels Corridor section of Fort Myers.  The community also offers amenities including a clubhouse with a fitness center and social hall, as well as a swimming pool, basketball and tennis courts, and a party pavilion. The community’s entrance is gated with 24-hour security.

Piedmont Gardens

Those looking for easy access to nearby nightlife will likely enjoy Piedmont Gardens. Living in this part of the city means close proximity to nightclubs and cafes. You’ll find a mix of housing to choose from in this part of Fort Myers, including traditional homes and even some apartments.
