Where To Golf in Cape Coral
A lot of people choose Southwest Florida for its beaches and its watersports, but for some, the golf course is just as appealing. Luckily, there are several great golf communities to choose from in Cape Coral.
Cape Royal
Cape Royal is a gated community with a 27-hole golf course designed by Gordon Lewis, a restaurant and bar, plus a pro shop and a driving range. You’ll also find tennis courts, pickleball, a bocce league and several clubs for members to enjoy. In addition, the Cape Royal HOA sponsors a number of special events and festivities throughout the year. Many of the homes of Cape Royal tend to be two-story, Mediterranean-style homes, with some of the homes constructed in the 1980s, as well as some newer construction homes. The golf club at Cape Royal is known as Southwest Florida’s largest semi-private golf club. You’ll find it in Northwest Cape Coral.
Palmetto-Pine
Palmetto-Pine sits in Southwest Cape Coral, with single-family homes and an 18-hole golf course. This semi-private golf club has a course designed by Arthur Hills, plus the club offers card rooms, full-service dining and more. Palmetto-Pine additionally supplies bocce and several non-golf related social events. The club offers the option for an equity membership or a social membership. Real estate opportunities in Palmetto-Pine include some gated and some non-gated communities. One of the most exclusive is Palmetto Pines Estates. This gated community offers just eight homesites.
Coral Oaks
Another Arthur Hills designed golf course sits at the center of Coral Oaks. The homes of Coral Oaks range from one-story ranch homes to courtyard homes with a Mediterranean-style influence. This affordably priced, non-gated community does not require HOA fees. The 18-hole golf course includes a pub, a pro shop and some practice areas. The city-owned golf course is found in Northwest Cape Coral, just north of Diplomat Parkway.
