As posted last week, February 2011 was a very strong month for luxury property sales in Lee County, Florida with seventeen $1M+ transactions. This is the highest number of $1m+ transactions since May 2010. Based on customer activity levels that we are seeing right now in the market, March '11 should also come in strong for $1M+ sales. CNN/Money reports that a key contributor to this luxury revival is a renewed sense of confidence for wealthy buyers. Stock market values have nearly doubled from their March 2009 lows. Many prospective clients that I speak with are considering an asset allocation shift out of the stock market that they consider frothy and into a home in Southwest Florida whose value has been pounded down for several years. Upscale luxury developments like Gulf Harbour, Miromar Lakes and Bonita Bay that may have been untouchable for many during the real estate boom, are now within the reach of many more buyers. Please let us know if you would like an information-rich, low-pressure partner to help source a Fort Myers luxury home or a Bonita Springs luxury home.
