From its location to its amenities, it’s clear to see why Waters Edge is one of our favorite waterfront communities. Found right alongside the Caloosahatchee River in the Iona area of Fort Myers, Waters Edge even has its own marina.
Peppertree Pointe Marina at Waters Edge is a 36-slip marina and can take boats of up to 26-feet. You’ll also find a boat launching ramp and trailer storage nearby.
With direct access to the Gulf via the Caloosahatchee River, Waters Edge is easily a favorite of those in search of a new place to call home that also appeals to a boating lifestyle. The neighborhood additionally offers a private fishing pier right on the river.
Even if you don’t want to fish, it’s a good place to spot manatees, dolphins, and otters. You’ll also find a riverside park and a private beach. As well, the property offers two tennis courts and two heated swimming pools.
As for the homes of Waters Edge, buyers can choose from mid-rise condos, villas, or a single-family home. There are seven different neighborhoods with their own associations, plus there is also a master homeowner’s association.
Because several builders were involved in constructing the homes and condos of Waters Edge, you’ll find plenty of options to choose from. The first homes went up in the early 1980s, but you may also find some newer construction.
