Town & River: Gateway to Direct Boating Access

Found right along the Caloosahatchee River, Town & River is a virtual gateway to direct boating access. Living here makes it easy to head to one of the barrier islands, one of the area beaches, out to the Gulf, or even to Downtown Fort Myers in your own boat.

A majority of homes in Town & River are river, canal, or lakefront homes with private boat docks, making it easy to get out on the water whenever you choose. For this reason, the well-established community often draws in those in search of a boating lifestyle in Fort Myers.

Located at the meeting point of McGregor Boulevard and Cypress Lake Drive, Town & River sits close to the Edison & Ford Winter Estates as well as the popular Bell Tower Shops, major retailers, schools, restaurants, and more. Originally built up during the 1960s and 1970s, some of the first homes in the neighborhood have since been replaced by newer homes, while others have undergone significant renovations.

That’s why today you’ll find a lot of diversity in terms of size and style. Some of the homes in the community recently listed on the market have included three- or four-bedrooms and at least 2,100 square feet of living space.

Options include a single-story ranch home that was originally built in 1970 but has more recently been completely updated. Another recently listed home was first constructed in the early 1960s and has deep water sailboat access, as well as a heated swimming pool and spa overlooking the water.

A larger ranch home offers a split floor plan with a private swimming pool in Town & River. A home dating back to the early 1980s, meanwhile, has lakefront views, as well as an open floorplan with vaulted ceilings. It has been updated and remodeled with new flooring and a new roof.
