The Island is the First New Condo Tower in Estero in Years

As the first new condo tower in Estero in years, The Island at West Bay is certainly grabbing attention. It’s been about a decade since the last tower was constructed, but The Island may just have been worth the wait.

The new tower is designed in a way to take advantage of sweeping views of the surrounding area, with walls of glass and large terraces overlooking Estero Bay, the Gulf and nearby nature preserves. Made up of more than 80 condos in all, The Island offers spacious floorplans starting at around 3,200 square feet of living space.

Buyers can choose from three-bedrooms plus a den or even four-bedrooms with up to 4.5-baths. New residents can also expect to find things like gourmet kitchens, as well as some of the latest features in smart home technology.

There are private access-controlled elevators that take residents directly to their private homes. The top two floors of the building make way for a half-dozen penthouse units that are said to live more like custom estates. 

The penthouse condos come with 12-foot ceilings and up to 6,000 square feet of living space. Homes on the very top floor offer double extended terraces. 

As for shared amenities, the building brings in a rooftop amenity deck with a swimming pool, a wine bar and catering kitchen, firepits and fitness space. The ground level of the building also provides a resident club room and catering kitchen, a golf simulator, a dog park and another swimming pool and lap pool.

Guest suites are available, too, plus there’s also a fitness center and a kids’ club room. Residents of The Island additionally have membership opportunities inside the West Bay Club community, including access to a river park and private beach club, a tennis center, a sports park, and championship golf.
