The Forest Country Club: Exceptional Private Golf

With two championship golf courses and a wide range of added amenities, The Forest Country Club offers plenty of options for its members. Along with golf, this premiere Fort Myers club is also home to a newly redesigned clubhouse.
Forest Country Club just celebrated its 40th anniversary, and to mark the occasion began a major overhaul of its clubhouse. Scheduled to be finished soon, crews have been renovating the clubhouse for about a year.
The clubhouse project includes expanding both the indoor and outdoor dining areas of the club, adding in fire pits and adding in some resort-style seating. The project brings with it more of an open and flowing floor plan for members to enjoy, including a redesign of the clubhouse kitchen.
The clubhouse refurbishing follows recent updates made out on the golf course, as well. A few years ago crews renovated the Bobcat Course with new tees, plus they regressed fairways and putting surfaces. Crews also rebuilt bunkers and cart paths. The Bear Course also received its own updates around the same time.
In addition, the aerobics room and fitness center have also been transformed at the club to include better views of the golf course. Other options for club members include access to the Forest Tennis Center. The property makes room for a half-dozen Har-Tru tennis courts, including some lit for night play. The club also features a pickleball program.
Along with all of this, the club plays host to a number of member-specific clubs, including a fishing club, supper club and an art club. As well, Forest Country Club commonly sponsors excursions for its members, including trips to sporting events, performances, concerts and the theater.
While it first opened in the late 1970s, The Forest Country Club has maintained a reputation as one of the region’s best private clubs. This member-owned club is additionally home to hundreds of single-family homes, villas and condos, coming in a variety of price points.
