The Forest Combines Two Golf Courses with Resort-style Living
For the combination of resort-style living with two distinctively different golf courses, The Forest offers a great option for homebuyers searching in Fort Myers. The private county club is home to two 18-hole golf courses, each of which was designed by Gordon Lewis.
Both golf courses at The Forest were recently renovated. In addition, the 40th anniversary of the club brought about a recently renovated and expanded clubhouse, which now features additional space for indoor and outdoor dining, a new kitchen, an upgraded bar and grille, and new landscaping.
The large dining room of the clubhouse opens to a member’s lounge. Other recent upgrades modernized the fitness center and wellness studio with advanced equipment and classes, as well as some lighted Har-tru tennis courts.
You’ll also find a golf and tennis pro shop at the club, some lighted bocce ball courts and some pickleball courts. Members can join the bocce league, plus there’s a competitive tennis program at The Forest with space for junior programs, as well.
This non-equity club has the option of a golf membership, a sport membership, or other options, as there’s always something to do and experience at The Forest. The large club is also home to hundreds of acres of natural preserves.
Originally established in the late 1970s, The Forest Country Club in Fort Myers offers your choice of a condo, villa, or single-family home. A two-bedroom, two-bath condo in The Forest typically contains around 1,200 square feet of living space.
The option of a villa, meanwhile, can mean upwards of 2,000 square feet of living space. For those interested in a single-family home, buyers can find some homes surpassing 4,000 square feet of space. Some of the largest homes in The Forest also sit on oversized lots and come with private swimming pools, as well as lake and golf course views.
