Sun Splash Offers Family Fun in Cape Coral

sun splash cape coral With the perfect warm weather in Southwest Florida, any day is a good day for the family to head out to the Sun Splash Waterpark for “a cool day.” Season passes are available now. Southwest Florida’s largest waterpark in Cape Coral features more than 14 acres of waterslides and pools as well as dry attractions for visitors of all ages. Sun Splash is open March-September. There is a range of attractions for everyone in your family, whether it’s a “Rain Tree” for the youngest in your family with gently sloping surfaces with an “umbrella” rain tree under a gently shower to cool off, to a lazy river with floating tube rides, or for the adventure-seekers, there is the “extreme X-Celerator.” This is the steepest, fastest and most extreme attraction in the park. The “X-Celerator” speed slide drops visitors down five stories of open chute at speeds up to 40 feet per second and 30 mph! Sun Splash offers many other attractions, like darkened tunnels as guests sit on inflated tubes, drop slides, and even an ecological boardwalk located along the shores of Lake Kennedy for visitors to take a walk and enjoy nature. The Tot Spot playground design for the youngest ones features an interactive play apparatus. There is a sand volleyball court at the park for a break from the water activities. A café is available where you can buy lunch and snacks, as well as relax on lounge chairs at the family pool providing a quiet spot to sunbathe or read a book. Sun Splash is very popular with local residents since the park is a smaller water park when compared to the large theme parks in Orlando, and the admission is much less. Early Bird discount season passes are available for purchase now through April 12, with deeper discounts offered for Cape Coral residents. All Season pass holders receive unlimited admission to Sun Splash during regular operating hours and special events, in addition to reduced parking fees and discounts on food and merchandise throughout the park. Sun Splash Waterpark is located at 400 Santa Barbara Boulevard, only 2.5 miles north of Veterans Parkway in Cape Coral, and open from March through mid-September.
