Stonewater Development in Cape Coral Realizes Its Potential
A new construction, single-family home development in Cape Coral is finally beginning to realize its potential. The new Stonewater community features more than 300 new residences for buyers to choose from, many of which relish in lakefront views.
Buyers will traditionally find homes in Stonewater with two- to four-bedrooms, and around 1,600 to upwards of 2,700 square feet of living space. There are a half-dozen floorplans for buyers to consider in this new, DR Horton community of homes, including a single-story home with two-bedrooms and two-baths.
A slightly larger layout includes three-bedrooms and two-baths, also in a single-story design. Additional options include three more single-story designs in Stonewater, each of which comes with three-bedrooms, at least two-baths, and at least a two-car garage.
The largest available floorplan in the Stonewater development from DR Horton is a two-story home with four-bedrooms, three-baths, and a two-car garage. Several homes in the neighborhood are either available right now, or newly under contract.
It’s been some time coming for a community that was originally approved unanimously by the Planning and Zoning Commission in 2015, followed by the full City Council. It wasn’t until late 2020 that some of the first signs of development emerged.
The neighborhood faced past delays due to a utility extension project and the construction of a pump station on the property. Now that residential construction is underway, the new homes of Stonewater sit on around 200-acres of land.
The new community is situated behind Mariner High School, near the corner of Nelson Road and Tropicana Parkway in Cape Coral. The convenient location is just part of the neighborhood’s appeal.
As for shared community amenities, the gated Stonewater community features access to a fitness center, tennis courts and pickleball courts. You’ll also find a resort-style swimming pool and a tot-lot on the property.
