The renovated clubhouse at
Shadow Wood Country Club in Bonita Springs was recognized in the June 2013 issue of Golf Inc. magazine as the best renovated clubhouse in the country. Shadow Wood is featured in a two-page spread in the magazine’s “Clubhouse of the Year” feature, which also recognizes award winners for new construction at private and public courses. The renovation was headed by Image Design of Atlanta and Fort Myers-based BSSW Architects and included $4.8 million in improvements.
The new renovation comes 13 years after Shadow Wood was originally opened in 1999. Now, the clubhouse has expanded interior casual dining areas; gathering spaces; the Clubhouse’s popular Grill Room and amenities for current members and to attract prospective members. The Mediterranean-style clubhouse renovation has additions that blend with the original design. It is lighter, brighter and more open, which brings the facility up-to-date. There is more outdoor terrace dining to take advantage of the views offered by the golf course’s lovely Bonita Springs setting. There is more space for the card room and a new boardroom.
This exclusive golfing country club is recognized as one of the finest country clubs in Southwest Florida. Shadow Wood is made up of 32 neighborhoods on the golf course, natural preserves and lakes. Housing options at Shadow Wood include estate homes, single-family homes, villas and coach homes. Here is a resource to learn more about the community and view active
