Midtown Development Underway at Babcock Ranch
The Midtown phase of Babcock Ranch is now well underway, as construction progresses on new neighborhoods, new green space, and a mix of dining, apartments, office space and commercial space known as Village Green. Midtown is the second phase of the greater development of Babcock Ranch.
It means the inclusion of six new neighborhoods, as wells as some parks within a park. Curry Creek linear park will integrate a half dozen smaller parks, with community event lawns and pavilions, observation areas, and playgrounds.
The seven-acre Village Green is also part of Midtown, as it brings a new central gathering space to Babcock Ranch. In addition, six new neighborhoods are headed to the innovative community.
Perhaps the closest to Village Green is a 100-acre neighborhood called Creekside Run. It will consist of nearly 300 single-family homes from Christopher Alan Homes.
The neighborhood’s model homes will range from two- to five-bedrooms. The Sanctuary neighborhood in Midtown will eventually include more than 400 single-family homes, and such amenities as a playground, an event lawn, a splashpad, and a resort-style swimming pool.
The new phase of development also means the first neighborhood in Babcock Ranch for active adults ages 55 and older. Toll Brothers, in its Regency community, plans for nearly 500 single-family homes and attached villas overlooking area preserves and lakes.
Another new neighborhood of close to 500 single-family homes and villas comes from DR Horton. Palmetto Landing will offer your choice of single- and two-story designs, overlooking preserve and lake views. In addition, homeowners in Palmetto Landing will have access to a private clubhouse with a swimming pool, fitness center, and sports courts.
Pulte Homes will likely launch sales later this year for its single-family homes in the Verde neighborhood. This neighborhood will have its own swimming pool.
Meritage Homes is behind another gated neighborhood of just one-dozen single-family homes in the second phase of Babcock Ranch. The neighborhood of Crescent Lakes will include sports courts, pickleball, and a swimming pool.
