Lake Kennedy Offers Waterfront Fun in Cape Coral

The South Florida Canoe Kayak Club has recruited 230 international athletes who come to Lake Kennedy for its ideal weather, warm waters and competitive training. Lake Kennedy is one of the biggest freshwater lakes in Cape Coral, and is a part of the Cape Coral Chain of Lakes.  For residents, Lake Kennedy offers a lot of waterfront fun, including recreational activities like boating, jet skis and fishing.  Gorgeous sunsets color the sky over Lake Kennedy, drawing residents and visitors alike to the shores.  Top spots like Sunsplash Family Waterpark and the Cape Coral Executive Golf Course are minutes away from Lake Kennedy.  There is a good variety of shopping and dining options along nearby Pine Island Road Corridor. Lake Kennedy Community Park, a 46-acre park, seated in the center of Cape Coral, offers up recreational activities such as Sun Splash Family Waterpark, Lake Kennedy Senior Center and wonderful amenities, including the Cape Coral Mini-Bus Service and Freida B. Smith Special Population Center.  A green area in the front features a fitness area, walking path, and ornate gazebo that is a popular site for photo-taking.  Also, the Kiwanis Gardens on Santa Barbara Boulevard is a beautifully landscaped area that was a gift to Cape Coral from the local Kiwanis chapter to help beautify the park. Housing options on Lake Kennedy include both single-family homes and waterfront condos.  This area is supplied by city water, sewer and irrigation municipal utilities.  Lake Kennedy is located in southwest Cape Coral bordered by Pine Island Road, Santa Barbara Boulevard and Nicholas Parkway.
