Like a southern belle making her debutante at a cotillion ball, Fort Myers is unveiling a new waterfront river basin this week.  In addition to filtering runoff water before it reaches the Caloosahatchee River, the new basin provides room for new development along the waterfront in Downtown Fort Myers.  Plans call for tripling the size of the Harborside Events Center and a new 220 room, convention-quality hotel.
