Fiddlesticks Two Courses Challenge Golfers

Fiddlesticks Country Club’s Long Mean golf course and its sister course, Wee Friendly, in Fort Myers are two very different private 18-hole golf courses that can challenge all players at all skill levels and offer stunning scenic views.  Beginning with Long Mean, it is a top-ranked championship-designed golf course that has hosted many PGA tour professionals, including Jack Nicklaus and Arnold Palmer.  The 7,077-yards, par-72 Long Mean is a challenging course with a slope rating of 140 nestled in the middle of the community with green fairways lined by tall pine and cypress trees.  Lakes and wooded areas surround the course hosting exotic wildlife. The 18-hole Long Mean course features 7 sets of tees for player of all abilities.  Located at 15391 Cannongate Drive, the course has beautiful Bermuda grass greens and fairways.  The practice area includes separate chipping/putting greens.  A restaurant with full service bar is on-site as well as an on-course snack bar and beverage cart.  Fiddlesticks Country Club’s other top-rated golf course, Wee Friendly, is a 6,645-yard course that is decidedly different from Long Mean.  It provides a second 18-hole course at Fiddlesticks that is unique with a more forgiving design.  Open to players of all skill levels. The 600 members of the Fiddlesticks Country Club community voted to restore their championship golf course to its prime condition funneling $515 million to do the job right with architect Ron Gail, one of the world’s premier golf course builders.  The goal is to recreate the course to its original design and improve its irrigation system, expand the USGA greens, and replace the slanted retaining walls among other projects.  Fiddlesticks sits on 770 acres and features 16 lakes encompassing 100 acres. The Fiddlesticks Country Club sits in an established gated golf community in Fort Myers comprised of 600 homes, including condos, attached villas and single-family homes.  Every resident at Fiddlesticks becomes an equity member of the golf and country club with the purchase of a home.  This is a member-owned club featuring a Clubhouse, 2 18-hole championship golf courses and a fitness club.
