Everything You Need to Know About Rose Garden in Cape Coral
Once home to Cape Coral’s very first tourist attraction and its beautiful flowers, the famed Rose Garden community of today is better known for its beautiful homes and well-kept properties. Found in Southwest Cape Coral, the Rose Garden neighborhood is mostly full of single-family homes and is also known for its large canals.
The upscale Tarpon Point neighborhood now sits where the old tourist attraction once stood. Most of the waterfront homes in this part of Cape Coral have direct Gulf access, making it an ideal location for boaters.
Some homes in the area include their own boat docks, as well as substantial living and entertaining space. There are also some remodeled pool homes with water views and some homes ready for a new owner to take charge and bring them back to life.
While Rose Garden is an established part Cape Coral, there are sometimes opportunities for buyers to purchase a lot in the area. The neighborhood has the advantage of being close to area shopping and dining, plus the Tarpon Point Marina.
Nearby Rotary Park has a butterfly house, a playground, a dog park, some picnic shelters, and some open space. There’s also an environmental center at the park.
While the original gardens are no longer there, you may be able to still find a street sign marking Rose Garden Road. When the owner of the tourist attraction reorganized after bankruptcy, the site was developed into new homes, a marina, and Tarpon Point.
When the tourist attraction closed, however, not everything was lost. Some of the presidential busts that were once displayed as part of the Patriots Pavilion section of Cape Coral Gardens are now part of the Cape Coral Museum of History, while the Iwo Jima statue was moved to Veterans Memorial Park at the Mid-Point Bridge.
