The largest recreation center in Lee County, Estero Community Park and Recreation Center has indoor and outdoor facilities and programs for everyone from toddlers to active seniors. More than just a gym and sports programs, Estero’s recreation center also holds art classes, a computer lab, game rooms, and wellness classes for adults and children. Open every day of the week, this park and recreation center sells individual ($5) and family memberships ($20) for a one time-only fee to sign up for classes. Estero Community Park and Recreation Center is located 3 miles north of Bonita Springs and the Coconut Point Mall between US 41 and Three Oaks Parkway. Residential home communities nearby include Estates at Estero River, Cascades, Grandezza, Wildcat Run, Rookery Pointe, Pelican Sound and Copper Oaks. Residents can walk over to or a short drive to the 55-acre multi-purpose community park, which includes: an amphitheater; lighted playgrounds; picnic shelters; pavilion; dog park; 2 lighted bocce courts; 12 lighted horseshoe pits; 3 lighted sand volleyball courts; 2 multipurpose Bermuda fields; 2 lighted multipurpose Bermuda fields; 4 lakes; and a 5k cross country course. Two historical houses are now at home in Estero Community Park, after 4 years of work and planning. Within the Recreation Center, there is a fully equipped gym, offering time for adult basketball, family basketball, pickle ball, wheelchair basketball and volleyball. You will also find a Fitness Center with locker rooms as part of the Recreation Center, as well as a computer Lab, game room, teen center, meeting rooms and a multitude of Adult and Children’s program offerings, as well as sports leagues and Senior programs.
