Divco Custom Homes Now Building at Babcock Ranch

Another homebuilder is now constructing homes at Babcock Ranch. Divco Custom Homes recently joined a select group of builders, currently designing homes in the solar-powered community.

Divco plans to build in the Lake Babcock Estates North and South neighborhoods. The company aims to start constructing its first fully-furnished model home at Babcock Ranch sometime later this summer.

Divco will be constructing luxury single-family homes with open floor plans and a large amount of outdoor living space. Other builders in Babcock Ranch include Lennar, Pulte, Fox, Florida Lifestyle Homes, Arthur Rutenberg Homes, Stock Classic, Solara and Homes by Towne.

Priced starting below $200,000, some of the largest homes of this master-planned development are priced upwards of $1 million. This provides plenty of options for buyers, ranging from condos and villas to single-family homes with up to 5,000 square feet of living space.

While promoting a true sense of community, many of the homes of Babcock Ranch include front porches, with an emphasis on sustainable living. Not only does the massive, 18,000-acre development of Babcock Ranch hold the distinction of being the nation’s very first solar-powered town, but it’s also a walkable community.

About half of the town is reserved for lakes, parks and green space. The development boasts mile after mile of hiking and biking trails, waterways for paddling, plus space for tennis, basketball and pickleball courts, adding to the options when it comes to outdoor recreation.

The rest of the development includes a town center complete with a lakefront park, restaurants, retail space, a health club and medical services. The town additionally offers a boardwalk, co-working space, a neighborhood school and an autonomous shuttle.
