Cape Coral Plays At Sun Splash

Sun Splash, the family water park in Cape Coral, is cool, fun-loving entertainment for the entire family. Early Bird Season Passes are now on sale through April 10. Sun Splash, with 14 acres of pools, water slides and beach, is the largest water park in South Florida. Cape Coral residents get a discount on admission prices. Sun Splash is open from March through September. Special events bring big name talent, like American Idol winner Jordin Sparks, who headlined last June. At Sun Splash, there are water tunnels and flumes for young and old visitors, using single or double inflated tubes. Many attractions carry riders through narrow darkened tunnels to drops more than 30 feet. Some of the flumes begin after riders climb a high tower platform then slink down a series of open-air flumes. With Florida’s warm temperatures and tropical climate, local residents and visitors enjoy many months of fun in the sun careening down refreshing water rides. A family pool provides entertainment for the whole family that beckons riders with tubes to float along a gentle, relaxing lazy river and then empties into the pool, or simply enter the pool through a zero-depth entrance for a nice place to cool off. There are also tot spots for water play for the little ones who don’t meet some height requirements. Families can play together with kids under the fountains. A sandy beach area encourages visitors to enjoy a good book or tan in lounge chairs available at the edge of the open pool. Sun Splash contains a magnificent ecological boardwalk located along the shores of Lake Kennedy, making it a wonderful spot to take a break and go for a walk and enjoy the finer points of nature. A café and snack bars are on-site for lunch and refreshments. Sun Splash, located at 400 Santa Barbara Boulevard in Cape Coral, is open on the weekends from March-September, and the whole week during the summer. Park hours are 10:00 AM-5:00 PM and parking and lockers are available. Once a month, Sun Splash stays open late for Family Fun and Aqua Theater Nights.
