Cape Coral Neighborhoods with Sailboat Access

Sailing is, no doubt, part of a Southwest Florida lifestyle, and that’s evident by some of the area’s most popular boating neighborhoods. If you’re looking for a place with sailboat Gulf access, the region has a number of great choices.

The Cape Coral Yacht Club sits in the southeastern corner of the city. Originally built starting in the late 1950s, many properties in the Yacht Club have direct sailboat access. This part of Cape Coral offers a mix of older homes and some new construction builds.

The Orchid Boulevard community is a small community, but it offers the value of extremely wide canals. All of the properties provide sailboat access of up to 55-feet. Many of the canals are also deep, which is why you’ll likely see some yachts parked behind homes in the neighborhood, too.

Yet another neighborhood with sailboat access is Beach Parkway. The community is mostly condos with boat slips.

The Savona community additionally offers some sailboat access homes. The homes were built starting in the 1960s, but you’ll also likely find some new construction homes here. All of the waterfront lots include sailboat access, plus the homes in Savona tend to be a bit more affordable than those located to the south of Cape Coral Parkway.

To the north of Savona you’ll find the neighborhoods of Palaco Grande, Cornwallis and Everest. Although they sit a bit farther away from the open Gulf, the neighborhoods are still convenient for sailboat owners. There’s a public boat launch in Everest.

Chantrey Canal sits up the river and has some of Cape Coral’s most affordable unrestricted Gulf access homes. In addition, the Matlacha Pass area, on the northwest corner of the city, has some unrestricted Gulf access. Some of the shortest runs are in Matlacha Isles, which is an older neighborhood.

Finally, Burnt Store Marina is a master planned community of single-family homes, condos and villas. Owners keep their boats in the marina, but it does offer sailboat access.
