Brightwater Features Lagoon and Family-Friendly Amenities
With its own lagoon and family-friendly amenities, Brightwater is one of the most anticipated new home communities to come to North Fort Myers. The community’s massive Crystal Lagoon is one thing that certainly sets it apart from the rest.
Expected to be finished sometime later this year, the massive lagoon will stretch as long as five football fields. At 200 feet across, the eight foot deep lagoon plans to hold 16 million gallons of water.
Essentially a giant man-made swimming pool, the five-acre lagoon provides the opportunity for homebuyers to live a coastal lifestyle without venturing far from home. Planned amenities also include a white sand beach, a water slide and a swim-up bar.
In addition, Brightwater will offer things like nature trails, a future park and a tot lot. Currently, DR Horton and Maronda Homes are both building new homes in Brightwater, with plans for the eventual construction of more than 1,000 new homes in the community.
DR Horton has one-story floorplans starting at around 1,400 square feet of living space. Its largest design is a two-story home with around 2,600 square feet of living space, including five-bedrooms and a two-car garage.
Available floorplans in the premiere new community from Maronda Homes start at around 1,500 square feet of living space, with three- to four-bedrooms and a two-car garage. The largest floorplan from Maronda Homes in Brightwater is around 3,000 square feet.
It includes up to six bedrooms and either a two- or three-car garage. Priced starting in the mid to high $200,000s for some of the smaller floorplans, some of the largest homes in Brightwater from Maronda Homes and DR Horton are priced starting in the mid $300,000s. Buyers can choose from one of the available floorplans or from one of the community’s quick delivery homes. Located about a mile east of I-75, the new Brightwater community will be built in phases.
