BlackHawk Dominated by Custom Estate Homes
Dominated by close to 80 custom estate homes built up around three large lakes, the BlackHawk community of Fort Myers also offers large homesites with lakefront or natural preserve views. Most homes in BlackHawk sit on close to, or even more than, a one-acre, wooded lot for extra privacy.
Built up starting in the mid 1990s, some of the newest homes in BlackHawk were finished in the mid 2000s. Developed by Arthur Rutenberg Homes, the single-family homes of this community typically range from around 2,600 square feet of living space to more than 4,600 square feet of living space.
Many of the homes come with three- or four-bedrooms and at least three-baths. It’s also common to find a three-car garage with homes in the neighborhood.
Buyers will often find such high-end additions as gourmet, eat-in kitchens with a breakfast bar, oversized master suites and open floor plans. Some homes have been updated with newer stainless-steel appliances, hardwood floors, designer lighting, and other desirable features and finishes, such as crown molding and insulated impact doors and windows.
As well, it’s common to find private swimming pools and spas, outdoor kitchens, and large covered lanais with homes in the neighborhood. Some homes in BlackHawk come with a den or bonus room for even more flexibility, plus vaulted or tray ceilings, walk-in closets and built ins.
As for some of the community’s shared amenities, you’ll find fully stocked lakes for bass fishing, plus a playground in the 100-acre community. The BlackHawk community sits in South Fort Myers, only a couple of miles from US-41 and south of Gladiolus Drive in Daniels Corridor.
The community is located close to area shops and boutiques, restaurants, and high-ranking local schools. As well, some of the region’s best Gulf beaches are only about a half-hour drive from the BlackHawk community.
