Bennett’s Fresh Roast: A Fort Myers Favorite

As seen on The Food Network’s Donut Showdown, Fresh Roast has been one of the most successful new businesses in Lee County. Owned and operated by popular Wink FM morning radio personality C. David Bennett, Bennett’s Fresh Roast prides itself on its coffee’s bold and intense flavor just roasted yesterday with a special pre-infusion brewing process. Long lines waiting to get into Fresh Roast isn’t just for the coffee; its hand-made donuts are scrumptious. New donut flavors pop up alongside favorites. New donut flavors like salty sweet maple bacon, pumpkin spice, maple toffee crunch, and s’mores are crowd pleasers. Bennett’s Fresh Roast also offers other fresh breakfast items, like breakfast muffins, oatmeal, strata, breakfast sandwiches and an assortment of fine teas for breakfast for non-coffee drinkers. Lunch offerings include paninis, soup, sandwiches, and signature salads. New creations include donut dogs that were adapted from an item they made on Food Network’s Donut Showdown show. Both the Fort Myers and Sanibel locations offer plenty of seating indoors and a small deck with bistro seating. You can eat in or grab a half dozen to take home. Fort Myers’ shop opened in February 2008 and its newest location in Sanibel opened this past fall and includes indoor seating for 40 people. Bennett’s Fresh Roast is open everyday from 6 am-3 pm. The two locations are 2011 Bayside Parkway in Fort Myers and 1020 Periwinkle Way in Sanibel.
