Progress is pushing ahead in Babcock Ranch, where already more than 900 new homes have sold. Widely known as the nation’s very first solar-powered town, Babcock Ranch is quickly growing in size and popularity.

Around half of the sustainable town is set aside for lakes, parks and greenways. An innovative new greenhouse is going up in Babcock Ranch, too. Stretching to the size of about two football fields, Finn Farms hopes to soon start harvesting daily fresh produce right from Babcock Ranch.

Another addition to the area is Crescent B Commons. This new shopping center is currently under construction at the new entrance to Babcock Ranch.

It will soon be anchored by a new Publix store. The massive community is additionally home to the newly opened Babcock National Golf & Country Club and the newly redesigned Discovery Center.

It helps highlight the town’s overall lifestyle and its sustainable vision. Residents and guests can go there to pick up trail maps to better explore the community’s lakes, trails and parks.

The master planned community welcomed its first residents in early 2018. Flash forward a couple of years and the community now has nine homebuilders constructing in seven unique neighborhoods.

Eventually, planners are expecting Babcock Ranch to grow to more than 19,000 homes and millions of square feet of commercial space. The community is already home to a new health and wellness facility, plus it’s expanding with some shopping and dining options.

You will also find a neighborhood school, community gardens, a lakeside boardwalk and some co-working office space. Some of the individual neighborhoods add in amenities like swimming pools and playgrounds.

With more than 50 residential designs to choose from already, buyers have their choice of villas, condos and single-family estates. This makes it an appealing location for empty nesters, retirees, families and young millennials.
