Bonita Springs now welcomes a new option in luxury living to the area, with completion of Altaira. Recently constructed, the new high-rise includes mostly four “Sky Homes” per floor, with a total of 19 residential floors within the 21-story structure. Generally ranging from around 3,300 to 3,500 square feet in size, the units come complete with large terraces and massive glass sliding doors. This serves up the luxury of spectacular privacy overlooking Estero Bay, with the enjoyment of both sunrise and sunset views. Priced starting upwards of $1 million, the condos of Altaira generally come in three different models, though one of the building’s 75 units is actually a double penthouse, formed by combining two interior units during the construction phase. The building itself features a resort-style swimming pool, rooftop terrace, plus a BBQ area and fire pit. As well, the tower also offers a clubroom and a fitness center plus a concierge and guest suites. Located within The Colony Golf & Bay Club, Altaira is the most modern of the residential buildings, with a generous supply of natural light that flows throughout the homes. It is also the newest addition to The Colony in nearly a decade. Construction of other Colony towers began in the late 1990s. Extra on-site amenities of living within The Colony include the 18-hole championship golf course plus The Colony Golf Clubhouse, complete with a pro shop, locker rooms, a wine room and dining overlooking the course. In addition, there’s also the option of waterfront dining at The Colony overlooking Estero Bay. As well, the property also boasts The Colony Sports Club, with an exercise room, lap pool and spa, an aerobics studio and a half-dozen Har-Tru tennis courts. The Colony also offers up a spa treatment room along with a private Beach Park, accessible via a private boat shuttle. Here is a resource to learn more about Altaira at The Colony and view active listings in this new development.
