Affordable Luxury at Plantation Preserve
Much like its name implies, Plantation Preserve is a quiet neighborhood built up next to a small preserve in Fort Myers. While the peaceful setting is definitely part of its charm, the neighborhood also delivers the desirability of affordable luxury in this part of Florida.
This South Fort Myers community has a more than six-acre lake at its center, so many of the homes have the advantage of water views or natural views. Full of towering pine and cypress trees, the nearby nature preserve commonly attracts birdlife, such as blue herons, white egrets, and sometimes even bald eagles to the area.
Apart from its natural appeal, the gated Plantation Preserve community also has a range of added amenities available for those living in the development. Residents can easily access the community’s swimming pool and cabana, plus there’s a children’s play area in the neighborhood, as well.
The homes of Plantation Preserve were mostly built around the early to mid 2000s by D. R. Horton. Many of them include around 1,600 square feet of living space to 2,600 square feet of living space, although you may find a few variations.
It’s common to find homes with three-bedrooms and two-baths, but you may also find there are some homes with four-bedrooms and three-baths in the community of Plantation Preserve. Some of the homes have been upgraded with such desirable features and finishes as crown molding, granite countertops, and plenty of built-ins.
While not all floorplans are identical in the community, with some of the homes you may find flexible space that can be used for a home office or even as another bedroom, depending on your needs. In all, there are around 140 homes spread out across the community.
The upscale community of Plantation Preserve is located north of Daniels Parkway. That’s just off Plantation Road in South Fort Myers.
