The Dunes Golf and Tennis Club
Located on Sanibel Island, The Dunes Golf & Tennis Club is the largest residential community on Sanibel. This 333-acre community was originally developed in 1981 by the Mariner Group, Inc.
Set against a wildlife preserve sanctioned by the Audubon Cooperative Society, the development combines the natural splendor of Sanibel with championship golf and premier tennis facilities. With 5600 yards of manicured greens, the Mark McCumber course is the only PGA course on the island. This very challenging course includes water on every hole with players frequently hitting to an island tee for added difficulty. Golf enthusiasts of all skills can work with an onsite PGA professional to take their game to the next level.
Tennis players enjoy a similar level of comfort and professionalism with 14 Har-Tru tennis courts. Players can perfect their backhand under the tutelage of a USTA staffer while learning new strategies and techniques for their next match. A full service pro shop ensures players will always be perfectly equipped.
The Dunes offers a range of membership levels that cater to every need, including tennis and social memberships only. The clubhouse is a common meeting point for tennis players, golfers, locals and visitors. Home to the Rassa Steak and Seafood Restaurant, the clubhouse offers the best in island dining with spectacular views of the golf course and wildlife preserve. Other amenities include a heated pool and deeded beach access.
